About
Anna Nicole Price is a San Francisco Bay Area based artist and storyteller with a BA in Narrative Studies and a minor in Drawing from the University of Southern California. Her creations, featuring talking animals and beasts with rich folklore, are influenced by the work of Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli as well as by animated classics such as The Lion King.
A self taught digital artist, she got her start working freelance in the Virtual Pet Site industry, followed by time in the world of writing and publishing as an intern for an award-winning YA and children’s book author. Her wide creative skill set currently encompasses drawing, painting, illustration, 2D animation, creative writing, literary and film criticism, and clay sculpture.
In addition to the animation greats, she draws much inspiration from Aesop’s Fables and the breathtaking wildlife illustrations of Dutch painter and naturalist Rien Poortvliet, as well as the trees and scenery of many Bay Area hiking trails.
When not working, she enjoys world travel, photography, hiking, working with animals, and practicing martial arts.
